DIY Black and White Halloween Spider Table

For this months Cricut Design Star Challenge I made spider plates with glitter black vinyl. I enlarged a vector file I found of a large spider, set my explore to cut thick vinyl and voila spooky plates! I love that I can remove the vinyl after the party.  Because I didn't feel like spending 80 plus on new plates that I just use for one party.  I love that cricut has a palette you can work on as well( mine was a plate template) so I don't really have to worry about finding the right size. That probably is my favourite part of this new software. Because then I don't have to worry so much about measuring everything. My next project will have print then cut which I'm stoked to try!

Anyways I'm all about using plates and dished I already own. I firmly believe everyone should have a set of black and white plates. The placemats were bath mats from Targets dollar bin. The centrepiece was manzanita branches I already had in my outside urns I just draped cobwebs and hung cut spiders from the branches. I love this as a halloween theme because I feel that when you add orange it cheapens the look. So If you want more sophisticated of your dinner party this year try using just black and white.

I was compensated for this post with a chance to try out the new explore. All opinions are my own.
