Boxwood wreath in a chalkboard frame Tutorial with Cricut Explore

Thursday, November 20, 2014

For this round of Our Cricut explore design star challenge I wanted to make a boxwood wreath frame. Our team decided On dreamy white holidays. Perfect .....I love my bright whites.
I knew I wanted to use greenery and stuff I already had laying around the house. I like to repurpose pieces already in my decor and use them for christmas. So I painted the frame our family pictures were in and inserted a piece of black posteboard. It looks like I used chalk paint And I love that it's  trick! Thank you dollar store! I had a boxwood wreath I strung with ribbon and duck taped to the back of the frame.

I found a jpg of a deer bust online in creative commons and uploaded it to design space. I measured the inside of the wreath and printed the deer head on white contact paper ( used for lining drawers with) also from the dollar store. Placed it in the middle and hung it on the wall! Simple and took under an hour with things I already had.. and after the holidays I just remove the wreath take off the posterboard and I'm ready for spring.

Also Fun tip...Add in a few wrapping accessories and you have a custom wrapping station instead of a mess all over your kitchen table.
